RRB ALP Notificaton 2026

Railway Recruitment Board under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has issued an indicative notification (CEN 01/2026) for the recruitment of 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot posts across various RRBs.

The online application process for the RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 will be open from May 15, 2026 to June 14, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria of RRB ALP Notificaton 2026

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on 1 July 2026.

Age Relaxation

The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories as follows:

Educational Qualification

Option A:

• Matriculation/SSLC along with ITI from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutions in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
  OR
• Matriculation/SSLC with completion of Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

Option B:

• A 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
• A combination of these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution is also acceptable in place of ITI.

Note:

• A degree in the above-mentioned engineering disciplines will also be accepted in lieu of a diploma.
