On 7th March 2026, ASTU released the official notification for CEE 2026, which is meant for admission into B.Tech courses for the academic year 2026–2027 in Assam’s engineering colleges. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in their 10+2 examination and meet the eligibility criteria can apply online.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) in a single attempt, without the use of grace marks in the required subjects. They must also secure separate passing marks in both theory and practical components for the relevant subjects at the 10+2 level, as specified.

Other Criteria of Assam CEE 2026 Exam

• To be eligible for admission into any of the engineering colleges, a candidate must meet the following criteria (as per the 2025 notification):
• Residency: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam, supported by a valid PRC issued by the competent authority.
• Central Government Employee Quota: Candidates applying under this quota must provide proof of permanent residency from the appropriate authority of a state outside Assam.
• Qualifying Marks: The candidate must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in aggregate in the 10+2 qualifying examination, as per the AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2024–2027.
  OR
  Must have passed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from the State Council for Technical Education, Assam, with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the final examination.
  OR
  Must have obtained a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories), along with passing the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Mathematics as a subject.
• Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2026. There is no upper age limit.
• Character: The candidate should have good moral character, certified by the head of the last institution attended.
• Fitness: The candidate must be physically and mentally fit, supported by a medical certificate from a registered medical officer or practitioner.

Application Fee of Assam CEE 2026

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹1500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) for CEE 2026.

Payment Mode: The fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Assam CEE 2026 Admit Card 

• The Assam CEE Admit Card 2026 will be released by the ASTU on its official website.
• Candidates can download their admit cards from the university website (www.astu.ac.in) between 26th May and 4th June 2026 by logging in with their application form number/username and the password created during the online application process.

3. Higher marks in Chemistry
4. Older date of birth
5. Alphabetical order of the candidate’s name
