A total of 22 vacancies (including backlog) have been announced for Group B & C posts including Junior Engineer, Physical Training Instructor, Accountant, and Junior Technician in various engineering and science disciplines. IIT Hyderabad Recruitment 2026Selection Process

The selection process for posts carrying Pay Level-7 and below shall consist of the following stages:

Note: Depending upon the number of applications received, the selection process may consist of either:

  • Preliminary Written Test (screening) → Skill Test/Trade Test (qualifying) → Final Written Test; OR
  • Skill Test/Trade Test (qualifying) → Final Written Test

Final selection shall be based on the merit secured by candidates in the Final Written Test followed by document verification.

IIT Hyderabad Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

  • Indian Nationals only are eligible to apply.
  • Online applications only – No offline applications will be accepted.
  • The cut-off date for reckoning Upper Age limit, qualification, and Post Qualification Experience is 20 July 2026.
  • Relevant experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree/course will only be considered. Part-time employment experience shall not be considered.
  • Exact percentage should be mentioned (e.g., 59.9% should NOT be rounded off to 60%).
  • First Class means 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • BE/B.Tech should be of 4 years duration and Diploma must be of 3 years duration.
  • Experience certificate should be on organization’s letterhead, with date of issue, name & designation of issuing authority, signature, and stamp. Pay slips/Office orders/Appointment orders shall not be considered as proof of experience.
  • Candidates working in Central/State Govt/PSU/Autonomous Bodies/Universities must produce NOC at the time of interview/written test/skill test/certificate verification.
  • No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending trade test/skill test/written test/proficiency test.
