SSB Paramedical Recruitment 2026Selection Process

The SSB Paramedical Selection Process 2026 will be conducted in multiple stages as detailed below:

Stage I – Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Candidates applying for Head Constable (Laboratory Assistant) and Head Constable (Physiotherapy Assistant) must complete the physical test as follows: Male candidates need to run 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds, while Female candidates must complete 800 meters in 4 minutes. For Constable (Nursing Assistant cum Medic) posts, Male candidates must complete 4.8 km in 24 minutes, while Female candidates need to cover 2.4 km in 18 minutes. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from appearing in PET.

Stage I – Physical Standard Test (PST):
Candidates who qualify PET will undergo Physical Standard Test, including height and chest measurements as per category-wise standards. For General/UR/OBC/EWS, the prescribed height is 165 cm for males and 155 cm for females, with male chest measurement 75–80 cm. Relaxations are available for ST candidates, North Eastern States, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra, Maratha, and J&K/Ladakh categories as per government norms.

Stage II – Written Examination (Computer Based Test):
For Head Constable (Laboratory Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant), the CBT will be 150 marks, conducted for 3 hours with 150 multiple-choice questions. It will include Part I (50 marks) covering General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and English/Hindi, while Part II (100 marks) will cover the Technical Subject.
For Constable (Nursing Assistant cum Medic), the CBT will be 100 marks, conducted for 2 hours with 100 MCQs covering GK, Mathematics, Reasoning, and General English/Hindi.

Stage III – Documentation and Medical Examination:

SSB Paramedical Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions

Candidates are allowed to apply for only one post out of the three advertised posts.

Only online applications will be accepted. Applications submitted through any other mode will be rejected.

Candidates must possess all required educational and professional qualifications on or before the last date of application submission.

Name and Date of Birth entered in the application must match the Matriculation Certificate, and no changes will be allowed later.
