Stage I – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST):

  • PET:
    • Male candidates: 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds
    • Female candidates: 800 metres race in 4 minutes
  • Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET; however, they must appear for PST, Written Examination, Skill Test (if applicable), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
  • PST:
    Candidates must fulfil the prescribed physical standards such as height and chest measurements, which vary post-wise and category-wise as per the official notification.
    • For General (UR/EWS/OBC) category (Head Constable Steward):
